Well I played out the next 92 years, and want to move on to a rabid russian AAR. I actually came in third place, behind the English, and spanish, the english it turns out had substantial indian and Indonesian holdings along with australia, and I never did shake their north american holdings completely.
A brief summary of how the game finished.
1700-1750 a serries of additional wars agains the turkes yeilding the rest of Greece and much of the rest of the Anatolia peninula. I colonized the phillipines and solidified my north american holdings
1735 a brutal war with France in India and North America, with an eventually status quo piece france restoring its north American Holdings and me My Indian Holdings.
1750-1796 generally peacefull, Built up most my Amercian colonies to city status and by games end had modernizedand was pulling down 424 Ducats per year anually income. In a pinch I could generate 164 ducats per month if I dropped everything to my treasury and had brought all my tech levels except navy equal with the major powers. and had maintained a number one land tech status.
1764 had a brutal war with english very expensive and only gained one american province, could not get another DoWar for the remainder of the game and did not want to declare myself with no Cause beli. I thought I could squeek through,Into second place.
1792 spain wins by 1,700 victory points, england finishes 113 points ahead and I finish 28 points ahead of France, not a bad game, but I actually planned on winning......
I think the hardest part I did not anticipate was the hight cost of reestablishing stability. very tricky with the Ethiopians often 3-years per point.
I also,to be frank, lost interest in the one the last 100 years and got complacent.
I have started a blood lusted Russian AAR and will start a new thread called Bloodlusted Russians.
thanks for reading ... darn... I wanted to win with ethiopia and may try it again at some point. I have won with Grenada and Hyperbad, I think ethiopia can win I just did not pull it off this game.
