I think we are all being experimented on. Seeing how much money they can make out of us whilst breaking the game, then watching and laughing as we all angrily run around the forum like lab rats on steroids.

Yeh. I am just a bored gamer in lock down, wanting to play the game with the new changes but just want them fixed so I can enjoy it. Instead of getting frustrated.
Is it so much to ask in 2020 that games are released with proper testing, so the consumer can enjoy it.
Hell no other industry can get away with this poor customer service.

The only time I can imagine us ever getting a dev diary about bug fixes is if it lets them show off interesting changes to the game architecture.

The people who say that they simply take too much time to fix bugs, let me remind you all that if their payment options were to work the same way that the current Emperor Patch works, then it would be fixed ASAP, about 3 days tops...

It’s the usual vague and evasive type of info sharing PDX has been practising for years. All hell broke loose over glaring issues (not their first rodeo) and they are taking their time, announcing that they had a great 2 month break at the customer’s expense and that only now are they working “in full swing” whatever that means but given their track record, full swing means weeks of more vagueness and not much to show for it

Are we going to get a patch to fix the gamebreaking debt bug anytime soon? Or even a real solid statement on it? This is the most broken I have ever seen this game and Paradox has let it stay like this for months with almost no communication on the subject.

Guys, it is not difficult to fix the debt spiral if you got access to their developer tools. There are plenty of things that are just lacking QA big time and they should be accountable for that. Not legally, but morally.
I'm as much frustrated about the situation as you, and I think everyone deserves a more polished game, especially in the AI department which seems to be the biggest bottleneck.
Until all the glaring issues with the AI are fixed (which will take years upon years, if it happens at all) I have created a mod "BetterAI" which fixes plenty of those AI issues. I'm planning on expanding on it so we, as a community, can enjoy it even in 5 years time when paradox moves on and forgets us. A vanilla eu4 experience, but fixed.

On the one hand, I want people to complain, I want everyone to voice their opinion so paradox changes their behavior, but I know that this is just a drop in the bucket compared to the frustration that everyone endures who loves the game. I want everyone to enjoy the game when they pick it up to play, when they invest their time into it.
If you wanna enjoy the game again, I hope my mod can help you. Don't stop posting till we get some fixes, but for the time being you shouldn't have to revert to old versions or have a worse gaming experience.
Not an ad for the sake of it, but I read all those discussions and I want to keep the community alive and healthy. If you deem this as annoying, just tell me, but I think a few more people would love to know about a possible solution.
Give me feedback and tell others there's a way to enjoy the game (hopefully, it depends on your view of the mod).
If you know any other mods which fix current issues with the game, it would be nice if you could tell everyone in here. If you know how to improve the game, why not contribute to some of those mods.

Haha, like I'm going to give them more money after this fiasco. My $400 investment in their other game has been sitting unused for months after they released the DLC I have been most hyped for, they're not getting anymore of my money until they prove they aren't going to screw their customers again.
