ETA On Intercity Train bug fix?

I've not seen much about this in a while, is there an ETA on fixing this bug so I can stop intercity trains in some of my stations? If there was a fix, it's not helped my games. I know there is some Mod, but from what I've read that is buggy too, so I'd rather see the Vanilla game fix please and thank you.
