Escort Fighter Unit for Armageddon?

What was the point to switch escort fighter units to brigades? (This question brought me to the forum. Last time I was a little bit angry-short of manners. ) I'm still angry and humbly asking;what is the reason? And most importantly; is there a way to recreate escort fighter unit?

1- I am warmed up and I want fow back. So I need recon.
2- Air Transports now let alone being a prey are bird seed. Are we talking about Air superiority or air supremacy? Because 0.01 Airbase is still operational and the AI reserves a lot of fighters b'cause it can' t form up a defensive perimeter?!

Terminology: Escort fighter or Heavy fighter? Must be heavy fighter...

I think it hurt tactical bombers too much. If you wanted an escort for each bomber, you could only use 8 at once since the limit is 16 with an air general. With them as brigades you can use 16 tacticals at once without a problem.

They were also just not different enough from interceptors and fighters, which could be used the same way anyway. It cleaned up a lot of clutter having them as brigades.

I think Paradox got rid of them because people like me were using them offensively as fighters, rather than escorts.

The Range is essentially usefull for night fighting though. Longer flight with a probable radar attachment will be a new challenge for night bombing/defence campaigns. Or a pathfinder attachment to bombers increasing the efficiencies could be suiting.

There must be a way to recreate them. Reason does not have to be relevant or logical anyway.

Why not just wait for Hoi3 and see how they fixed it?
