In the order that I discovered them...

HOI3: Probably around 100 hours

But I played it outside Steam so not sure.

Played it non-stop for about a month in September-October 2010, on Semper Fi. I bought the later two expansions but every time I tried to go back to it I never felt in the mood to re-learn it. Ultimately I don't think games that are primary war games are my thing, at least for long term replayability. But I already got more than my money's worth from 100 hours, of course! :)

And it was HOI3 that brought me to the forums - I made about 100 posts about it at the time I was playing it.

CK2: 0.47 hours

Yeah, I really need to try and play that game sometime :) But after more EU4..

EU3: 67 hours

I played this in 2012, every night for a couple of weeks. Enjoyed it as a fun way to pass the time during a period when I was very stressed at work. But never really got majorly into it - I didn't even visit the forum once to read guides or ask questions

So, very different to..

EU4: 1009 hours

Since October 12th 2013.

Of which I would say:
  1. ~ 300 hours is noise - leaving the game open when I'm not at the PC, even overnight.
  2. ~ 300 hours is testing and experimenting, to find out exactly how mechanics work and post details here, getting details for bug reports, and testing of the open beta :)
  3. ~ 400 hours is playing proper games
Oh, and more than 3,600 forum posts made about the game, since October 2013 ;)

I think it's fair to say that this has become a bit more than a 'game' for me.. :)

500 hrs for me, its older brother EU3 received 790 hrs of my time, CK2 so far is 650 hrs.

I work full time too, so most my "free Time" (not out with wife, or friends) is taken up by Paradox franchises. I think I have only played more hours on Gears of War 1, back in the day but I actually completely stopped playing Xbox when I found Eu3. So not only have I played an obscene amount of hours, a paradox franchise is the sole reason I converted to PC gaming.

Thats right it actually changed my preferred format to play games on. There you go Pdox, you can have that as a testimonial.

From my Steam stats:

EU4: 170
CKII: 633

EU3: 71 + More outside steam as 5.2 came very late to steam
Victoria 2: 27 + More many, many more outside steam as in earlier versions you had to install mod over the game

HOI 3: 26 (the game just did not appeal to me)

My most played game is Civ IV which is easily 1000 + hours, followed by combined hours of all the Football Manager games (CKII is third).

Speaking of which, I'd really like to know what other games most of the players of Paradox titles (and the devs even) play.

In EU4 I got 307h logged on steam, but I would think that at least 10-20h is afk.

And EU3 is probably double that amount, but I don't have it on steam so I don't know.

Haven't played that much CK2 yet.

Haven't played that much CK2 yet.

If you didn´t it probably isn´t your type of game. Through they are all "Paradox games" each game appeals to different tastes. I have all Clausewitz games and CK 2 is arguably the one I´ve played the least.

EU III Chronicles (non Steam version) A lot (probably over a thousand hours, too). EU III is less buggy and I miss many features from EU III in EU IV.

No time spent AFK whatsoever and I usually play at speed 5 and power through games real quick in a few days. If I played at a slower speed I'd probably have to spend at least triple that amount of playtime to finish a game lol.

According to Steam:

CK2: 399 hours
EU4: 271 hours
V2: 188 hours

I've got probably another 100 hours in Vicky II outside of steam because I played at least three games with the HoD beta patches.

I generally play on a constant speed 3-4 with very little pausing so a whole game takes ~30-40 hours.

These numbers would be a lot higher but I work full time and go to school. Luckily I don't need a lot of sleep.

I am well above that on CK2, EUIV not so much. Not really a fault of the game (which I think is great whenever I play it) it just happened to come out at a time when Ive been too busy to really have time to play any games at all. Someday I will get my EUIV hours up into the mid hundreds, just a few more months until that can start to happen

CK II - in total 281 h, but vanila CKII - only few hours (CKII+ FTW)

EU IV - 253 h. No mods (sadly, there is no EUIV+ made by Wiz)
