error when patching

hi,

I just installed windows 8 with a clean install and am in the process of reinstalling a few games.

I installed CK2 outside of program files (C:\GAMES\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II),
when i try to patch the game (i have the gamersgate version) i get the following error:

I have never encountered this message before, can anyone help?
