Error-User already have a profile

I have been getting errors login in-game, also. Sometimes, 503 Service Unavailable, sometimes 502 Bad Gateway, and sometimes i could log in. It seems their login server for games (or for this game?) still has issues or there are too many people playing it...
I have no idea whether I'm encountering the server issues or if someone else already grabbed the name Packrat. Not sure why we need a unique in-game username when we already need to have a unique Paradox account in the first place.
I'm just hoping I don't need this to be my In Game username. Because I want to use something else, but I'll eventually get around to getting my backer stuff (I can tell from this thread that the when is, well, exactly what we say to the God of Death - "Not today!"
The nice thing about using our Paradox accounts as logins would have been that in-game names wouldn't have to be unique.
The error I'm getting is different than the OP, just saying the name is taken, so I think I'm going to have to pick another name, and it's bumming me out because it's entirely needless.
