LOL i am still at the game not wanting to force close with ALT+F4 in case it will then get worse and could not use anymore my own profile.

I agree with others here about the account linking and the need to log in to get the rewards.

As soon as this work and i get my skins, i will try to block all connection in my firewall and see what happens then (using GOG non-galaxy version)

Woo HOo! Finally got in and got my Callsign!
I had to reboot the game, and was getting 'could not connect to server' error. But now I'm in.

Ok finally worked and, after waiting a bit more, it also accepted my redeem code...i think. There is a way to know if that is already activated for GOG version? I mean, i don't have any extra dlc like in Steam and the main menu says nothing about having something new.

The message after the code was "Thank you for supporting" and something more i don't remember (Paradox? HBS?) but nothing else. Maybe it means that skins are activated??

Edit: Ok i found the variants in the mechbay so yes, both skins were activated.

Getting that error. I can't believe that all of the 20+ combinations of names and numbers I'm trying are actually taken.
Anyone else getting that error, or able to create your Callsign?

The first one you created is the one you will have. It seems the game stores that until you can connect to the servers. I kept getting this error too and could not log in., I finally was able to connect and the very first profile i created was the one I had. The servers seem to have been overloaded from game launch.

Meh I don't mind. Am not one for online skirmishes so i just quit, reloaded and started campaign lol. I like that we crashed the server. Shows popularity

Agreed, I'd like to be able to use my extra content in offline mode if need be. Then again, it might only need the initial confirmation and always work after that.

Confirmed. You need to be online for the extra content to be active. As soon as you log out from the Paradox account, the game deletes both Shadowhawk and Atlas skins. So, if you got the game on GOG, keep in mind that the extra content is NOT DRM-Free. Very, very disappointed by this. That's not DRM-free, then. I want to use my skins at a single player skirmish, but for that i should be logged online? On a supposedly drm-free game? You can expect bad reviews on GOG for that, HBS. Very sad.

I didn't kickstart Battletech to have issues with publisher I never signed up for. What is this online only activaction BS. I love HBS, but we dont need this silly Paradox stuff for single player or multiplayer.

after installation errors and redownloading and reinstalling... I'm finally here. Stuck at "Enter Callsign Screen" - oh boy...

Edit: after restart I got to the main menu now though I can't connect with my paradox account... ok then...

Well...not a happy camper.

I WAS logged in, going through the initial set up, says my Callsign is already taken (is this because of the BETA Skirmish thing....who knows), so I tried a few variations of my callsign, all failed, then I got the dreaded CANNOT CONNECT issue, I see my Merc Logo briefly appear in the upper right login screen before disappearing again

Not what I was hoping to see launch day.

I DO hope they fix this soon.

I agree, being online to use my kickstarter rewards in my single player campain was not expected and make me really really really disappointed...
Being ONLINE for a single player game is silly: just add a connect button for when I want to play a multiplayer game.

Same thing. Paradox QA strikes again. Shame. We already got paradox ID and they unable to provide us with unique game ID?! STILL error with connection to account after 5 hours after "launch". Last first day purchase from me - this is simply offending.
