Error in language file?!

Hi,

From a fresh install if i use the editor to untick ownership of the Dutch holdings in Indonesia, remove their 3 units in Batavia and 'add' INO to the game, giving them the exact provinces i freed from HOL, while also making INO selectable, when i start the game to test that the new nation and provinces are working i get this error:

Does anyone know what is causing this and how to fix it?

It's caused by the use of editor. Your game version has become corrupt.

Do not use the editor!

Remove the game, reinstall and next time do the modding without the editor.

Ah but how many times would answer to any questions be after that "read the sticky!" People are not very often checking them out before asking... and I guess Paradox is not too eager to trumpet how the editor is a killer.

I am having this same problem, but there is one thing im not sure about. Is that the ONLY file that is corrupted by the editor?..

If I edit the scenario and Database with the editor, and then copy over that file with the original, will I have no bugs in the game?...

or will it cause problems?.. theres no error message when i start up now, but I just want to be sure.

I don't know if anyone's played around with the editor enough to determine the full range of its potential mischief, so any damage is possible. Still, if you're not getting any errors and you've stopped using the damn editor, I'd guess you were good to go.

As far as I can tell, the only safe things you can do with the editor are modifying the contents of the leader, minister and tech team files.
