No i'm definitly sure it was "retired to monastery"(he was 71 years old). It was 3 times in a row, i was quite surprised and checked this guy, he was still sitting in the court

I'm sure the command works, but I think that the person rebounds back to your court from NONE within a day or two.

I intend to change all such instances to have the courtier "die" instead. It will help to reduce this bounce-back issue and will also free up some resources from keeping track of courtiers who are really supposed to become perminently incommunicado (most often it's used in context of someone retiring to a monastry or something similar).

I thought some were suppose to bounce around though and the defecting to NONE atleast makes it less likely than defecting to a neighbor/vassal that they'll show up in your court.

In a few instances, yes, although it would appear that in practice it isn't really "discouraging" this bounce-back as well as we might have hoped. Fear not. I won't kill anyone who isn't supposed to be perminently out of play.

Well you haveto remember if they have family ties that seems to make them more likely to bounce back.

I really thinks it's do to bad targeting because as i said the X_neighbor defections almost always bounce back for me and they are not suppose to be able to even have a chance of targeting me as there should always be 1 neighbor.
