So, I've tried two games in the charlemegne bookmark so far. One as a patrician in almalfi and one as shattered realms zorostan custom. Both times I've had the event tree where your child is the offspring of <Religious maliscious entity here> within the first gen. While far from impossible it was random chance, it seems...er...unlikely?
Anyone else had this or am I just lucky?
I had it in three consecutive games in a row, each time in the first generation (so the children of the character I started with). My last two games, however, have not yet been plagued by it, thankfully.
Was really bad when I was playing Visby republic, and that child murdered like 5 of my male family members, and I lost all my rights to build tradeposts

.
Yeah, that's not helpful, not without knowing some of the specific text involved. I don't know all vanilla events off the top of my head.
Insofar as what I could find, there is an event series that adds a demon_child_non_pagan modifier -- the first event in the series would start with the text "My little [GetFromRelation] [From.GetFirstName] is not like other children. [From.GetSubjectPronounCap] does not scream or cry or even get upset..."
If that's the one, our version is almost exactly the same as vanilla's -- just some religion tags were changed vis a vis the characters that get spawned later.
That's the one, yes, with the id SoA.3000
It reads it has a mtth of a whopping 500 years, so it really seems unlikely it would happen that often. But then again, RNG happens.
Still, I would be interested if it is happening to other players that often now as well. Because then something might be wrong with the way mtth events are calculated right now.
Just for comparison, in the past, before HL came out, I only had this event once ever.
