Entertaining war

In my GC as Denmark Prussia, for some reason, declares war on Belgium. This causes France and Britain to defend Belgium, thus resulting in a great war in 1839.
A few years later Russia declares war on the Ottomans. Prussia and UK are allied to the ottomans because of the Egypt event, and the result is that UK and Prussia are fighting against eachother in Belgium and at the same time they are de facto allies against Russia.
Not sure if this is a bug or just an extremely unfortunate but very entertaining random development? I had great fun watching this I might add

I can just see it now. Somewhere in the Balkans:

First Russian Scout: Sir! We have spotted a large English army heading right for us from the south!

Second Russian Scout: Sir! There's a large Prussian army coming right at us for the north!

Wise General: <chuckle>

Confused Subordinates: Sir? Are you well?

Wise General: Let us retreat to higher ground and watch the show!

I totally agree Didn't want to get my poor 3 division thrown into that mess... btw it ended with the Belgians occupying entire Western Prussia but still signing a white peace with the Prussians. In the east both Prussia and Austria gained much of Russian Poland...
The war lasted for 12 (!) years so my harcoded war against Prussia in 1848 was rather eventless to say the least. I didn't loose one single soldier and signed a white peace after 14 months

That's always funny. It happens in Medieval: Total War too. You just camp out and let the other two armies maul each other and then take on the one that's left which is now weakened
