What is it with all these rebels? This is not realistic. I've had to end 6 Ironman games around 1500, due to rebels. And many of these rebels are just so nonsensical, like for example - 30k+ Gotlander Nationalist revolting in Sweden and Finland, but not on Gotland. Herectic Rebels rebelling every 5 years in 20-40k+ stacks, despite have 3 stability, and the list goes on. I thought that this patch would fix this, but it seems that it just made it so that it happens in fewer provinces, but in larger stacks.

Why do we get rebellions, just to drain our manpower and ruin our games?

And yes, of course there should be rebellions around the reformation, but seriously - so many rebels? And I haven't actually had any catholic rebellions...

Why is your unrest so high? I see a lot of complaints about Rebels but honestly I think it's people not used to the new mechanics. Like the post above me I find that the stacks are manageable. The stacks tend to not merge so it's honestly not hard to defeat them. Once they are dead they tend to convert over pretty easily, but for safety measures you can increase autonomy.

I've converted the culture of most provinces in order to make sure this didn't happen, but it did anyway..
These rebels spawned just after I accepted the demands of 50k+ rebels which spawned.

And Finnish and Norwegian rebels are at 90% rebellion chance...

After 6 tries, I guess I'm just going to give up getting "the Iron Price" achievement...

What is your overextension? Do you have a peasant war? have you increased autonomy in at risk provinces?

Also, you do have negative prestige, evidently some religious and cultural problems and appear to have conquered a lot of territory.
No overextension, the only provinces I've taken in war are Neva, Ösel, Reval and Narva, and they are all Danish culture(except Neva) and cored by now.
I lost the prestige when I accepted the demands from the peasants, I actually had 100 prestige 1 year before, and I got the "Respected" achievement.

I have had one non-event rebellion in my Theodoro run, currently ~1650ish. I've used harth treatment 3-4 times. Negative stability, low legitimacy, +unrest events (e.g. peasant's war), constant massive OE, pathetic religious unity - or did you just never use 'increase autonomy'? I honestly have no idea what you're doing.

Are you having religious troubles? Those measly -1 unrest per stability are quite weak compared to what intolerance will gave you.
You might want to:
1. Hire that -3 unrest guy
2. Improve your legitimacy, serious farm your prestige with easy wars (you don't need the land, just get prestige from repeated battles)
3. best of all: increase local autonomy. Yeah you lose some money and manpower, but -10 unrest is a lot. You will get your money and manpower back eventually.

Yup, internal unrest has finally become something you have to manage carefully rather than just throwing enough troops at the small stacks that pop up occasionally. It used to be a no-brainer to pick unrest options since rebels couldn't really break you anyway, now they finally can.

Those rebels look pretty reasonable, you are just put in a tough spot due to your low prestige and legitimacy (not ideal). Take loans and hire mercenaries to take out those rebels and then get your economy back in track. I don't see a trade fleet anywhere, you should build some as you have major trade power over the Baltic.

I do have a trade fleet, two infact. But I'm really worried about the Norwegian and Finnish rebels, who are just waiting for the right moment to rebel.
But I'll try to follow your advice.

Edit: And the Finns just rebelled, with 30k+ troops more...

I'm trying to keep it low with culture conversions, and I haven' manually raised it, but now after I accepted th demands of the peasants, I gained 20% in a lot of provinces.

I've had few to no problems with rebels. When I do, it is in a sensible manner.
E.g., I annex some overseas province that I can't core. It has a good bit of autonomy and unrest.
Or I don't choose to up the autonomy in some newly conquered provinces.
Or I have a missionary working somewhere and no friendly troops balancing it out.
Or I know I have various negative modifiers at the moment and I fail to raise stability.

When the rebels to pop up, they aren't in super stacks for me. They are in 10-15k stacks scattered about the provinces that are fomenting that type of rebellion.
I haven't had trouble wiping them out, though early game I once had them win a siege while all my troops were busy elsewhere and I didn't want to take out loans for mercs.
And one other time a small stack won a siege because I had some troops make a water landing in a province next to them, but forgot to go back and have them attack :).

Anyway, seems fine to me...

I'm trying to keep it low with culture conversions, and I haven' manually raised it, but now after I accepted th demands of the peasants, I gained 20% in a lot of provinces.
Cultural conversions almost do nothing about unrest (-2 at most for converting unaccepted cultures), but you will get different type of rebel.
Yeah you might want to manually increase autonomy for some of the poorer non coastal provinces.

Damn, I thought it helped, so I actually decreased the autonomy on some provinces.

Edit: I accepted their demands, but now I can hopefully recover in peace.
It's actually kind of sad that my prestige is so low now, because I had a series of wars with Poland, Muscovy and Lithuania, where I kicked their asses, even when they outnumbered me 3-1(This was mostly due to gaining a 100 tradition general from an event, and being 2 military techs above them.).
