and just to add here, I couldn't figure out at all how the english culture was to trigger: it got changed since last I played HIP, and the new english melt script is... well it's a hell of a thing to decipher.
so not knowing how to get english appear, asides from sticking to the age old norse->england->norman route, I was essentially Blindly hoping this would trigger. Very glad it did of course, and as seen in screenshot there's some text needed.
