I am not sure what is happening here but, as you can see from this screenshot, my Saxon King of England has suddenly faced the event where his liege asks him to convert to English culture even though he has no liege and even though English culture should never have spawned, the Norman Conquest having failed.



I saved the game just after this happened (http://www.mediafire.com/?q1bkg9rifx289m8) in case that helps you work out what happened and let me know whether it is a bug or not.

I'm sure that all of the Paradox team are very busy with final testing and QA of the patch due for Tuesday and that this probably explains why you've been quieter than usual on the bug forum this week but I just want to bump this to make sure it is not overlooked.

Ah! I'll look into it but it definitely sounds like a bug.

This sort of thing has been reported a lot by the way. I think the consensus is that this event should only fire if the king is Norman -- not just a duke or count.
