this is funny, but aparently, duke william the bastard died in Prison! either in king Phillipe of france, or the king of england's!

I've also had it up to here *signafies about two feet above head* with the king of england, so I swore fealty to king Phillpe. I've also gotten a betrothal with the duchess of normandy

edit: it was actually williams son who died in custody, the duchy of normandy passed through two generations in less than a decade! duke william died in 1066 in october, during a battle with King Harald!

how do you change your primary tile? after I get a son, I plan on murdering my wife to get the duchy of Normandy

2nd edit: That was my most successful game yet! I got over 1000 points! which doesn't seem like much but I'm currently in postion do become either the next king of england, or at least his overlord! I've struck when england is at its weakest, and now will be able to force my choice for the throne on england. after that, I would have been able to basically be overlord of england, and whats more, I've somehow become frankish! most likel since after I joined france, I asked Phillipe to educate the young duke, and since I'm the only heir of my dynasty(my late fathers wife, princess of navarre, has been matrilinally married to a lowly cortier, so I will be the last of my dynasty until I am married to the duchess of normandy! which is good because I have gravelkind succession.

well he died a lont time ago in the game. in another I'm the doux of Nikea and am currently seiging Konstantinopolis with some other doux to establish and independent kingdom the Byzantine Empire isliterally falling apart, and most likely wil fall apart once and for all.

I did really well in those wars, first I married my son to that HRE princess which gave me an alliance that ended up beating knocking Norway out of the war and I got lucky on an assassination of William the Bastard which destroyed their claim to the thrown. I spent the rest of the game harrassing the Scottish and ended up with a score above the actual Godwins.

That happened in my game when the old ruler died, his son was at war for what seemed like 20 years about, but he eventually pulled through, it did look like that to begin with though
