You won't find any such map because England went from being Catholic to Anglican pretty quickly and there were no regions that "held out" as Catholic. As the maps above show, you get a minor Catholic stronghold in Lancashire but even there they were a distinct minority.
There was a minor Protestant revolution later on when industrial areas (generally the north) moved strongly towards the non-conformist churches (Protestant but not Anglican) which were tolerated but again I don't think any area of England had a non-conformist majority.
The diagonal line running from about Bristol to Grimsby in the piccy above is a nonsense in any sense other than economic. It essentially defines the North as "all the poor bits minus Cornwall" which is just silly as it ignores accent, way of life, identity etc.
