Chapter 1: The war of Spanish Sucession
I arose from my bed on new years day to find that France, Bavaria and Spain are now at war because of the French King's greedyness. We are dragged into thee war by Austria. I am William Jones, advisor to the king and Baron. Our navy needs a quick shaping up. (Inflation is blessed by God- Carlous
All money goes to the treasurey!)
We engage the French in a naval battle off Cornwall and defeat them, with heavy losses. Are 'glorious' army of 16k lands in Caux. I roder 52 new ships made, with most of our treasurey.
Caux falls in June, 1700 and the troops are sent to Normandie. Normandie falls August 20th, punyt French fortresses. The army marches to Orleans! Orleans falls quickly to our blitzing armies, York and his troops march to Paris! They find that they do not have the equipment to take the city and march south. We defeat a French army in Orleans.
A seperate peace is made with France, giving us the shipyard in Caux and Orleans. I grin as I look over a few maps, eyes stopping at Genoa...
We wait for the 52 warships to be made, so that we may build an army to send to Italy. I look over the dock as I see the massive fleet of 71 warships and 1 transport. I raise an army of 25/3/2 in Anglia, our seaborne invasion force.
April 1702, our navy and army set off for Corsica, we defeat two Genoan fleets along the way. our army lands in Corsica in June.
Corsica falls on September 11. (Coincidence?) Austria annexed Bavaria, COlgne, and mainland Genoa. We take Corsica.
We are dragged into a war against Sweeden, Holstien, and Turkey by Austria. We are at war with Spain, Knights, and the mentioned alliance above.
We launch a seaborn invasion of Naples, but are held off by the Spanish Garrison. Our retreating invasion of Naples defearts the Spanish in Apulia and we take it easily (no fortress). We attack Naples again before defeating a Turkish navy. We retreat once more, but their army is anhilated.
We send the navy back to Anglia for reincforements (28/23/11) which are to land on mainland Spain. Our army in Apulia is anhilated by the Spaniards, go with God I mumbled.
The reinforcements become the Italian invasion army as the navy changes courses for Naples. I marry into the royal family of the Hansa L., wow! The King's daughter is beautiful! She births my son a few months later.
The invasion army lands in Naples. The garroison surrenders almost immediatly. The army takes Apulia and ehads to teh island of Sicily.
Corsica declares independance, Ill deal with it later. I am promoted to viscount.
The invasion suffers mass atrition and is at 26k now.
We accept peace with Spain in return we get Messina and Apulia. Corsica is annexed.
The war of Spanish Succession is over.
I can barely write further..I hae just spoken to my son..Long live England.
