So no matter how well I research the conversion tech, I will always end up with the same amount of oil per turn, namely 10% of my IC value? And the only way to increase my Oil influx is to increase my IC? Hmm..
Should it be like that really? Or should not the amount of energy that can be converted be fixed to the IC? So let's say for 200 IC I can convert 200 energy to oil. This way a nation that is not building factories and is not is not conquering all around can still improve their oil production by researching better techs. I think this is more logical.
A chemical plant that converts say 1000 tons of coal to 100 tons of oil a day. Suddenly a breakthrough in chemistry which makes conversion more efficient. Than why should the same company all of a sudden only convert 750 tons of coal to 100 tons of oil? Why should it's capacity decrease from 750 tons to 1000 tons. It is actually not a better company than before in terms of war effort, where oil is what you really need and an abundance of coal/energy can be assumed (If there is no abundance of energy -> no conversion!)
It is a small thing but it might be worth checking it out for a future patch.
cheers,
