So no matter how well I research the conversion tech, I will always end up with the same amount of oil per turn, namely 10% of my IC value? And the only way to increase my Oil influx is to increase my IC? Hmm..

Should it be like that really? Or should not the amount of energy that can be converted be fixed to the IC? So let's say for 200 IC I can convert 200 energy to oil. This way a nation that is not building factories and is not is not conquering all around can still improve their oil production by researching better techs. I think this is more logical.

A chemical plant that converts say 1000 tons of coal to 100 tons of oil a day. Suddenly a breakthrough in chemistry which makes conversion more efficient. Than why should the same company all of a sudden only convert 750 tons of coal to 100 tons of oil? Why should it's capacity decrease from 750 tons to 1000 tons. It is actually not a better company than before in terms of war effort, where oil is what you really need and an abundance of coal/energy can be assumed (If there is no abundance of energy -> no conversion!)

It is a small thing but it might be worth checking it out for a future patch.

cheers,
Brentor

This is no small thing... i think this is one of the worst thought out concepts in the game. There is no possible good rationale for the conversion to work this way.

The amount of energy to be converted should be fixed by IC and oil output should increase as techs improve period.

Please change this. I can't believe they structured it this way...

This is really only an issue if you have a large energy surplus (germany has large amounts of energy), when researching synthetic oil techs is pretty useless. And for what nation was synthetic fuels more important than for germany? On the other hand a germany with poland and france occupied will be able to have a pretty big effective IC, so completely reversing it so that you can get 0.9 times maybe 500 for a total of 450 oil per turn, and thus be able to could cover the entire german need of oil, would also be bad.

Good Lord some people...

then you decrease the Amount of Energy that can be converted. You don't use a broken system just to keep things balanced? Fix the system and then adjust the tonnage of your Energy surplus that you can convert. This will keep the amount of oil produced close to realistic amounts.
