Id like to know if enemy capitals can give territory over to another nation.Im playing Italy in agceept and Genoa have been under partisan control for few years.Id like to know is there any possibility that Genoans decide to join me?Genoa still has 1 province far away i Crimea and I wouldnt like to send my already small fleet to die to attrition there to take it.I not in war with Genoa right now, through im considering to start 1 to get Genoa. It is last of my cores I want to have.

Nope. Only 2 options are DoW Genoa and take Crimea or wait till they lose it and then DoW Genoa. Maybe it's possible for you to get military access from countries with ports along way to Crimea. No need to unload, but just quick passage through.

Well...capitols has defected before. Atleast in my game and in particular the Aragonese, should be the same thing for the Genoese.

Capitals can only defect if they also happen to be a core for a nation that hasn't formed yet - for instance Catalunya can revolt from Aragon taking Barcelona with it and forcing Aragon to move its capital. Genoa, though, isn't one of these.

And then, it's not properly defecting, but revolting away.

Nitpicking, yes, off course.

Before you start that war, and end up in a mess, a little warning.

If you take that crimean province while Genoa itself is still occupied by rebels, you'll get the Crimean province, Genoa will be free of rebels(and not yours, either), and you WON'T be at war with Genoa (but will remain at war with her allies...)

Capitals do NOT defect to other nations that are already on the map.

Or he can occupy the capital and wait for the crimean province to revolt and defect. Under occupation the Genoans will not be abl to chase away the rebels. It needs patience though.
