So I press a faction claim against the king of france. Then, during the confusion, the Umayyads launch a holy war against france as well, and the king of italy joins in defense of france against the Umayyads, but not against me. However, if the italian army is attached to the french army, it participates in battles and sieges against me. I get that in reality, that's probably what would happen, but with a clear cut system of wartime allies, there shoudln't be a way to subvert it and turn gray armies red.
