Endonyms for Norway and Denmark

Why should Norway and Denmark use endonyms (Norge and Danmark) while Sweden still uses its english name? At first i thought it would work like the old name Svitjod for Sweden: Norway would be named Noregr while it's ruled by a norse character, and the same would happen with Denmark. But the way it works right now is quite inconsistent. And i can't change it in landed_titles.txt because that would prevent me from getting achievements... An official solution to this "problem" would be very appreciated.

This struck me as weird as well but whatever, I think it adds to the flavor of the game, even if it is a bit inconsistent.

I think using endonyms for the primitive culture like the norse sweden was a good idea but at this point if they did all endonyms or all english, I just want the consistency

I formed Sweden as a Norse character post patch, if I remember correctly it then switched to Svitjod upon creation.

I don't think that's the problem. The problem is that it's inconsistent; they all get different names when ruled by Norse characters but Norway and Denmark also change when ruled by characters that are simply Norwegian and Danish, whilst Swedish-ruled Sweden is still just called 'Sweden'.

You can try HIP for that...if you don't pick SED (Speak English Dammit) then the country you're in will use it's native localization for names and titles, so...Svipjod for Sweden, konugr, jarls and thanes. Plus really neat localizations for the cultural retinues too ! (heimpegi, huskarlars, etc)

And try this..if you have two titles as your top titles, try switching back and forth to get the native localization of that title (and realm name)

Perhaps the Devs should add an option in the new Game Rules to choose whether you want culture appropriate endonyms or simply the accepted English equivalent.
