So, i was really excited about 2.2 patch, bcs devs promises that endgame lags are a thing bcs of tile system, and they answers only few concerns about this in forum posts, so i was putting a faith in their words.
I made few tries in new patch, and only with last one i managed to reach "endgame", and what i saw... endgame lag is not only still a thing, but its worst than ever... in previous games it wasnt big, it just was, and now, game is unplayable in faster than normal speed bcs between everyday is second pauze, and when day lasts 0,5 of a second, there is more pauzes than play. I really dont know if i will be able to finnish this game and when, but i will try.
But i want to ask, is there something that anyone can do with endgame lag? Or i just have to have supercomputermachine for $10000?

You would waste 10000 bucks. No matter how much you could spend, you would never build a system that could run stellaris well, unless you specifically designed a single-core processor that runs one thread, and got its clock speeds super highs or something.

Stellaris has a fundamental and pretty laughable design flaw. It runs on only 1 thread, and one core. I have one of the most powerful commercial CPUs and the game still runs like butt. This will never be fixed as it can't be fixed. The only option is to play on smaller galaxies.

People are suggesting you try opening up the console and delete gateways. It appears to increase performance significantly.
1st thing, ironman do not allow you to command console.
and 2nd one - i would never turn off the gateways.

I frankly never found the lag to be an issue in any way whatsoever in the past (it was unnoticeable and insignificant). Now 250 years into my game, I can notice quite a bit of lag, but hardly unplayable, I still run it on fastest on a 1000 star galaxy. On normal it runs like a dream, and this is certainly not the best computer on the market, although a reasonably high end i7 processor from 2017.

the current problem seems to be a correlation between the trade routes pathing through gateways. According to multiple people it causes a lot of lag, especially if they're very close together.

I havnt notice the lag since 2450 (around) just before crisis went into the stage, but this is not a corelation.
