I cant see any reason why a chronicle is imopossible. All the data is recorded throughout anyway, its just there is no nicely set out and absorbing interface to peruse it.
Anyway, from an interview I read, one of the developers said that the chronicle was considered along with other things (such as Republics etc, Im sure you know the blog/innterview I mean) and it was a conscious decision from them NOT to include it. Whether or not its something that may come available as a DLC or as part of an expansion was left up in the air though.
I mean, isnt all the data needed already stored in the Ledger? You can compare your own holdings to that of other rulers (although I find the 'Search by name' function doesnt work, all the others do) and indeed all your income and all the wars and the particapants is all listed.
So if all the data is already recorded, is it really a huge undertaking to turn it into a diary or chronicle of your Dynastys exploits? Maybe with a bit of a narrative touch, so its not just a list....
Surely this isnt impossible?
Mayeb it would just require much more work than one would assume, and its just not viable for the sales they would expect for such a thing.
