Say you can develop hitech/science so high that you are ready to lift off. Make it hard to obtain idk. But if you have a space program have them lift of to the moon

Just an extra map of say the moon with some sci fi inspired building theme actions. just to add a little more game play.

No thanks. This is a city-builder, not Civilization. Besides, space programmes require far more resources than a single city could ever offer.

exactly, this isnt civilation. like i said, just an extra map. im talking where i would like to see this game go with just different options. idk if you played sim city 2000k (a city builder and not civilization btw) do you remember the exodus once you reached a certain level - your buildings took off for space. where did they go?? anyway.

Please no, we need to spend devs resources for building our earth :)

Don't be disappointed, in 2025 you might see "moon skylines " as a DLC for cities skylines :)

Long live cities skylines

Sounds like you want a Goal to complete so you can show you "won" the game. Sorry- there's no 'winning' a sandbox game. Your Goal is to build the Perfect City. That should keep you plenty busy till CSL2 comes out.

I thought the goal was to build a city, not a perfect city. Because God knows mine will be far from perfect, but I'll have a lot of fun.

I've never really understood what space has to do with building a city. For me it's enough of an end goal to build a large, functioning, good looking city that doesn't look like a five year old designed it by vomiting buildings in random directions! Who knows... I might manage it one day!

I respectfully disagree that this is where devs should invest time. Maybe a modder, but not in the official game.

I know what you mean but its not easy to focus on entirely new planet. I am not a modder but I bet, to add something like this in this game would take a significant amount of effort .

Just because it takes effort does not mean it is worthwhile, especially in the scope of this specific game.

i guess it depends on how functional you wanted to be.. it could be an entirely expansion if you really wanted to go into a lot of detail.

i just remember the first time the exodus happened, i was completely shocked. i didnt know what was going on, but then i thought to myself, it would be cool if they actually landed somewhere and i could build a future scifi city. i mean i dont think id buy a game specifically as a sci fi city builder, but having that added dimension is just going that extra mile imo.
