Hello everyone, i'm doing my first real attemp to a one faith (did WC before). I'm mostly looking for extra tips here and there that I could have forgotten. Excuse my french screen shot and poor typo.
Context: I chose a Timmy/Mughals because I never really played with them in the long run so the culture thing was looking appealing to play with, I know they are not the best nation. I started by going north to place my capital in moscow and then expend in TC land. Now the year is 1700. I have all of asia mainland, east europe and a foot hold in africa. I just finished Japan, so my main forced is turning toward the coloniser. Castille was forced vassalised so the yellow in South america is mine (Spain was formed by Aragon so no colonies). I'm integrating Qara Del. I'm in place for Portugal at the moment and will get Rome from paypal in the same war for my 5th missionnary (I have the mecca and jerusalem ones already). Ottoman and France are allies just to prevent coalition, i don't need them or help them. I'm not super happy with my income, i get about +300/month but drop at +100 when coring, so I can't afford to gives huge subsidies to a vassal (yet). I would prefer to not play with loans (i know, i know). My game plan is to conquer an area, core it, put cathedral then convert, always an area ahead of the missionary. It takes 9 month to convert atm with the adviser but i still have +2% strengh to get with policies.
Idea: Religious - Diplo - Admin - Commercial - Humanist - Aristocratic. I will get the spy one next so i will have 4 policies with +1% missionary strengh. Idk if the last one will mater, probably Maritines so that i can be over 0 sailors once in my game.
Trade: Right now i'm draining China and east india into Novgorod (capital city), and everything in-between of course. I have not much of east indies yet so that will help in a near future. I have to try out if it's just better to collect localy. As I said, i'm not happy with my income, or maybe my expenses are too much.
Army: 10 inf, 10 merc, 20 cannon stack, merge 2 for battle. i have 720/830 force limit atm. I'm not lacking too much manpower, but can't afford all merc inf for now. I slack standard way to much, only 15% profesionnalism. I know i have too much cannon so it ruins my economy but so far, wars were on both side of the world so lots of sieges at the same time. Maybe I could reorganise this now that I only have europe to focus on. Half my income goes to the army... without counting reinforcement.
Absolutism: 115/115 and a nice 75% admin efficiency. Still a 10% to get in 40 years.
Religion: There is 1563 province left to convert (if I dont stop colonisation). With 5 missionnary at lets say 8 month conversion gives.... 209 years. Even if I get all coloniser quickly and drop the amount to 1300, i'm still looking at 173 years, 53 over the limit.
I need help ! Did i miss something or just to slow, not adequate nation. I know about the state rotation to get that 1% extra but I can't use this in the new world. Will probably do in Europe but i doupt this gives me the 50 years or so missing. Maybe in the last 50 years i can make client state to convert with subsidies. TC will also help with Africa but most of it is already converted anyway, maybe save a 5 year with that. I'll take any idea that you might have. Also... I know colonial nations don't convert (most of the time), but if I force religion then release them and subsidies huge amount... will they start converting or they keep their colonial bonus that prenvent the AI to convert ?
Bonus: Ming still have the mendate in the concentration camp I left them in.
