Ok, here's the scoop:
I was writing a bit of the Victor II article (gonna be a really large one I'm sure - I plan to have him rule for a good sixty or seventy years to really cement the country's existance), and it occured to me that I don't really know what's going on in other countries during this time. I mean I have a vague idea of course, but a lot of that "vague idea" is incredibly so - the current situation in Spain, for example, is "yeah, it's there".
So I was thinking: if I set up a Wiki somewhere, would anyone be interested in making the rest of the world with me? I'd be the final word on what's "cannonical" of course, but for the most part the fates of nations would be fairly open - as long as the story is plausible and doesn't interfere with the overall plan for Victoria (it
is called "Encyclopedia Victoria", after all

), then the Wiki's consensus would rule after a little voting and a quick rubber-stamp from above. More pertinent articles to the whole "Victoria" theme would continue to be posted here and a link to the Wiki would be at the start of the thread for those interested in seeing what the AAR community's created, but I think that having some community participation could really breathe some life into this project. Since the Paradox games are more a guide than in more "traditional" AARs, there isn't any of that complex multiplayer setup that many other collaborations have; just pure sit down and make a really cool alternate history in the EU2 timeframe, Victoria if we finish that, and HOI2 if we finish that. It'll take a long time before we get the basic idea "done" and I'm sure little details could be added forever, but I think as a nice little hobby thing on the side it'll be fun to involve others in.
Any takers?
