Empty Alsace?

Hello all,

When I started my new GC as the Golden Horde I noticed something a little odd....the province of Alsace was empty. It started that way in 1419 and it still is that way in 1431, I have tried to send a colonist there but that wasn't an option, so I can only assume that no one can send settlers there.

So.....is Alsace the Forbidden Zone or something?

Ok....did a little more testing and found out that in many of the other scenarios (except the fantasy one ) Alsace was occupied by one nation or another. However it was the EEP scenarios that Alsace wasn't occupied. So I'll have to see what's wrong with that.

However on another note I noticed that I had problems with some countries shields, most specifically Uzbek, Haiti and Russia. They all were of grainy quality .

Alsace was empty for me too.
What can we do about it? Is there some sort of file we can fix?

From what I can discern the nation of Strassburg is not in the EEP grand campaigns. I guess this will have to brought to the attention of the EEP folks so they may deal with this problem as soon as possible.

It'll probably be fixed in the next version of the EEP or something. This stinks! I wanted to start a new campaign. Now I have to wait.

Shields are not our department, that's Mad King James and Paradox. I'd suggest to d/l his latest Flag Mode and replace the shields and flags that came with the patch.

As for Alsace, it will be fixed in EEP 1.1. Too bad Paradox decided to crank up another useless minor

Just to set the record straight, Haiti's using the same shield it always has.

Anyone have the code needed to fix the Alsace problem now? An empty province makes for a substantial problem...

And I must assume that everyone with 1.05 and EEP is having this problem. Am I wrong? There are less people whining about it here than I would expect.

It's the 1419BYZ.inc (I'm unsure of the filename for the non-fantasy version), not the eug file; my bad.
Solution (mind, I've not tested it): edit 1419BYZ.inc to add the line include "scenarios\1419\1419_str.inc".
