Ok, I decided to play a little noninterference game with this.
I originally was going to just let the rebels go nuts and see how fast everything declares independence. Unfortunately, it was
7 years before the first country declared independence (Oman, with just Mascate). A little while after, Baden declared independence, and a little while after, Scotland declared independence, and a little while after, so did Savoy, and then so did Hannover.
Anyway, it's 13 years since I started again, and about 3 years ago I started to fight back. Scotland and Baden are mine again, as is Savoy, and Hannover soon will be. I'm still trying to scrounge up enough people in Arabia to conquer back Oman, it's kinda hard, since almost all of Persia is rebel controlled. I just remembered where I was, so I'm shipping me back from Japan to Persia to kick some rebel tail.
I'm just wondering why more countries haven't declared independence

. Maybe they're scared of me
