Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
The neighbourhood interface shows two rackets not owned by me. I can't find them on the map. The AI found one of them and opened up a racket in it, I can see the guard in front but not the racket itself. I have no idea where the supposed derelict/available racket is.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
If this is relevant, there were two rival gangs in the neighbourhood (the Card Sharks and the Alley Cats, if I recall correctly), which I both exterminated.

Also, as in my other report: playing on Linux using Proton, if that bears any relevance to this issue.

Hi Luke! Thanks for the feedback, and you're welcome! As indicated by the "pain" level, I'd say I was somewhat bewildered and then amused rather than frustrated :p
I'm rather curious where the second invisible racket is, so I'm looking forward to the AI finding it for me. It's not like they pose a threat in my hood ;)

Hey, real quick. So I have experienced this issue your having in many of my gameplays and never really bothered to mention it as I supposedly fixed it.

Have you still had the issue after reloading the saved game? it's one thing that has worked for me in the past ...

After I have taken over rackets from another faction or even when I killed the faction boss which gave me all their rackets those enemy dots and characters seem to have glitched or bugged and did not go away. This applied to guards, enemy patrols investigating or on their way to attack at random, sometimes but not always. My "fix" was to eliminate those enemy dots/characters and sure enough it got rid of the boss's picture in who's in the neighborhood.

As for Ghost rackets that either look as if nothing (white building) is there with guards out front I have noticed that the game messes up and reveals where the safe house is by accidentally showing the guards sometimes but not always and rarely.

If you have a building that is available/derelict or even taken over by the color it appear but there is no icon over it so you can't tell what it is or access its info. zoom into level 1 street view over that building and mouse over it and it will give you the options you want, buy, attack, information etc.

these are some of the things I have done that got rid of this issue and more than likely it's something the devs will fix soon enough but if it's bothersome and an eye sore to you there's a few ways to get passed it. Hope one of those things help

Side question. Is the Luceros faction still alive? If not, as stated those guards could be bugged/glitched and failed to disappear when they should have and will not go away. You will need to eliminate them if this is the case and although it will seem weird and out of place if Elvira is dead ... you will get notifications that you are losing honor etc from her after death. If you cannot attack due to you being in a truce or agreement with her before she got taken out, arm one of you characters with a grenade, or if your character has the sweep, throw frag grenade ability start combat with that and that will get things going

To answer your questions: yes, the issue persists after reloading the game. Los Luceros was very much alive ;)
As you can see in the screenshot below, there's no face on the pavement and it doesn't "unlock" the building, so to speak. Actually, it also shows the second guard Los Luceros added while I was admiring the facade.

Then a brief update: I declared war on Los Luceros and killed the guards in the screenshot above (heck, even my own guards right next to them could've handled them without taking a single bullet). I still couldn't see the building itself, so I left it at that. When I defeated the boss and took over their empire, I actually obtained the building and now I can see it:

I'm not sure why it's still called "Available Racket Building". I suppose it might be some sort of clever smoke screen since you can manually name them, but I suspect it's just part of the bug :p In any case, my face is on the pavement now and that's my guard outside the building. New save file attached, for good measure.

As I mentioned in the first post, there were two other factions in South Loop and both of them might have had hotels. Until the next update, you take over all rackets when you clear the safe house, but I'm not sure what happens to hotels since you can only have one of them in a neighbourhood. 2 = 2, so the numbers check out :cool: In any case, good luck debugging :p

That's awesome you figured this out. This is something that I have experienced myself with Card Sharks and it turned out to be a brewery with a name. Yeah the game for some reason or another fails to name bought buildings or these ghost ones as you show here sometimes and you get stuck with that generic name. That's when you acquire the racket via taking over faction empire. Other times if it doesn't change it for you upon taking it over you can change the name to whatever you want after the are you sure screen I believe when you first see the name of the new racket. Just click on the name and change it, once you hit ok it's locked for the entire game. The no face identifying who the racket belongs to is new to me also.

Ok, so I have had some funny business with hotels as well and yes they can be ghosted too. This has happened to me on more than on occasion but my example will be when I took over Donovans Empire he had a hotel in my starting neighborhood and I have not set one up yet but with what I took fro him the hotel was right, however it was in a medium building and I didn't like that and see it as a waste so I decided to sell it and set it up in a small building. When I did all that I could not buy one and even tried to set it up after taking a derelict building but same thing, a hotel already existed in the neighborhood even though I had none. Looked in the neighborhood overlay and sure enough it was still registering the hotel even though it did not exist, looked at both places in same screen and both showed me having a hotel, went to next tab over where it shows who owns what and there was the hotel there ... bought a racket where the hotel used to be ... hotel still there ... left it alone.

As for two hotels ... same game but different neighborhood and bosses. Mid to late game I took over Ragen, Dyer, St. Clair and Genna and they all left their hotels after I had set one up in those same neighborhoods. Had me all excited as I thought it would be X2 and I was about to explode in cash but nope, did nothing. I left it as is because I figured it would do the same as with the Donovan situation. Wonder about 2 sage houses in same neighborhood. Well, did this in one of my other saves which I think I still have and if so I'll post screenshot. Now that is something that you'll get lucky if it happens, a happy bug :) so you have two safe houses where 2 lieutenants can be and it WILL give you both their neighborhood perks ... but not the hotels :(

Here you can see that I was having a very similar issue you were having and there's still a lot of residue as I stated left behind from a previous war. See the taxi icon ... a little above it and to the right see that derelict building with no icon ... that's the one I was talking about zooming in on etc. Ragen who I killed in this same neighborhood and will show his safe house next set up a racket there and when I took it over, think it was a casino I made it into a brewery but was off about it not having the icon present so weird me sold it ... it's an available building now but you can't tell of course. So from the taxi if you hear right to the brewery that where St Claire's safe house was and I could not keep the safe house which would have been awesome in this neighborhood as I have 2 other my main included here ... had to turn it into a brewery. Notice all those light green dots. That's what I was talking about this bugged out glitched guards that are just there even though their boss is dead. I'm glad I have not cleaned them up yet as it gave me a chance to share this here.

Now here is what I call a happy bug as I know this is a bug and will probably get fixed asap and be taken away as the whiskey being disguised and sold to minor factions and rush option did. But I am enjoying the heck out of it and taking bug time advantage of it because why not? Anyways here is what I am saying about the tow safe houses and was hoping for 3 with St Claires I mentioned previously. As you can see I have Cyril McRae in one and that where Ragen was, I should have hovered over it as it still says Ragen's Colts Safe house LOL when I took it over it gave me the option and I was like shhhhh iiiiiiiit hell yeah. I have this going on in another neighborhood in this game also which is awesome and wish it was a thing as I do with hotels and being able to profit an income from hotels themselves also as legit income ................. as you can see I am getting the stayed in school +10% from Cyril, If I had Dyer in the main safe house shown I would have the hard labor +10% and wish I had her there when I took this to show but did not :( it works though. and inside this casino shown Phillip Hall and the rest were inside temporarily gaining an additional +20% when inside racket from A fool and his money are soon parted trait that works properly now. Making that a whopping +40% total and +50% if I had Doody or Joyce as LT's instead of Cyril. Happy bugs :) Oh and notice how I managed to luckily get the gambling strip nickname in the neighborhood. I think I kind of figured out how that works and I also have the nigh life and red light where I want them also. Did not start of with any of them. Example I set up heavy on speakeasies in East Pilsen first due to it's +5% speakeasy spend and second to test this theory. Once I had it going with all large and medium speakeasy rackets and got it up to bustling and booming I went to the neighborhood that had that nickname and brought their property way down and kept messing around till they were serving swill then some ... it worked, they lost their nickname and as I imagined it went to the place that supported favored that name which I purposely set it up for that. Other neighborhoods that had speakeasies I took over and sold immediately same goes for briothels and casinos when that time came and it worked ... I might just upload a snapshot on that too. Ok I am done ...

Really wish they would do something about that annoying -3% and -5% from swill and rack there. It'll be there FOREVER and I have yet to read anything on how to get rid of it or even how it gets there to begin with as it's not very predictable or controlled ... straight biting into the profits

My Bad, I lied ... well was incorrect. I thought I had set it up as well in that play through but it in another I am also working on playin as Goldie. But here it is, as you can see I purposely chose these neighborhoods and geared them toward what I wanted East Pilsen with Speakeasies and Near North Side with their +15% racket spend and my boy Joyce running things +20% casino earning when LT. Both neighborhoods got the nicknames I wanted that benefits them for casinos and speakeasies earnings. I did it the way I described and it seem to work ... Look at what I did to Futlon Market in Dyers game ... did not realize I earned it murder mile till I took this snapshot. Notice how many available buildings there are ... those were rackets at some point and the ones you see there now are newish and because I allowed it for the time being. Set up breweries there just because and with that murder mile nickname that -2% will never go away like the negative % from alcohol doesn't ... at least in all my other play throughs I never seen a neighborhood recover from murder mile even with a booming prosperity level for ever and ever ...

So, after this post and a bit more into my current gap lay I noticed random dots as seen with Card Sharks in snapshot I posted and guess what I discovered ... two separate invisible rackets. I first verified by checking the building/rackets tab in neighborhood overview and matched the number of rackets listed and the ones visible and there were extras. After some more time and like 2 reloads the rackets where still invincible but the icon with faction color appeared so I guess that's new ...
