Fu has shown how well he knows the world situation again. With halifax murdered the germans will be blamed. The war will continue... Of course it's possible that Halifax survived...

cthulhu said:Not likely, Secret Service knows who's behind the attack, remember?
The Yogi said:You're not paying attention, boys. The attack on the PM was the work of Fah Loo Sue.

The Yogi said:Above all things, she must prevent Fu Manchu from learning the truth for as long as possible, so that she could cover her tracks. The first, obvious, way her loss of Dr Morrell would become known to her father was if Hitler made peace with Britain. Fu Manchu had been most insistent that she never allow that to happen, apparently he wanted Britain fully engaged in Europe for some time to come. She might be able to prevent that from happening though. Apparently Lord Halifax, the new Prime Minister was a dove, while his natural replacement Winston Churchill was a hard-liner dead set against any settlement. Take out Halifax, and a continuation of the war would be insured.
Second, if Morrell died, for example from a heart attack or an accident, then Fu Manchu could not blame her for loosing her hold on Hitler, at least not to the point of considering her a traitor. He would be disappointed but that would mean some unpleasantness for her, rather than the living Hell she would get for treason.
Fah Loo Sue smiled and held the damning telegram over a candle until it burst into flame. It would take some care to send Si-Fan assassins to London and Berlin without her father ever finding out, and the assassins themselves could of course not be allowed to return from their missions alive… she had much work ahead.
