Empire Bio Text Now Has Limit: Post-Lem Update

As referenced in the title, ever since I got the Lem update I now have a word/text limit on the empire biography section when making a custom empire. Is this a bug other people are noticing and is there anything I can do besides making a shorter script?

What’s annoying is that the preset empires have biographies much longer than mine and I used to be able to use this length of text before the update.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can edit them in user_empire_designs.txt

Yes, it seems there is a limit to the editor. And it's a relatively tight one, too - 1000 characters.
I assume that's intentional, but exceeding the limit through editing the file directly as mentioned above does still work.

Wait it isn't intentional? I thought it was and edited the userempires.txt to write out the full thing...

The empire bio text field is very poorly designed in general. If you paste text with linebreaks in it, for example, they will be recognised - but upon subsequent loads of the game, extra newlines will appear at the end of the bio, often causing a vertical scrollbar to appear.

PDX really should redo that text field.

We need an entire DLC to update the bio. I would love to write a 3 page historical essay on the history of my goat people who live in space stations (that will never be read by anyone but myself)
