Why the emirate of Mallorca exists in the 1066 scenario? Shouldn't be better to use the BALE tag instead of the MALL? The MALL tag has a catholic CoA (the catalan aragonese shield), and the BALE has a CoA that seems muslim. In my opinion you should change this and put an emirate of Balears.

Grosshaus means, we have scenario freeze in place for 1.05, so it's too late for it for 1.05 purposes.

Its not really a problem exclusive to the Mallorcas. Right now I controll all of Persia and the areas for the Duchy of Lut. But I can't create it because the Emirate still exists under the Seljuks(which imigrated into Anetolia). If you want the title either destroy the title holder or take it.

Yes, it's a really big problem. It's because there's only one tag for Lut :( And if emirate exist, duchy can't be created. Duchy of Lut should have its own tag, but i think it won't be changed... :(

New date of release of patch 1.5 is 11th January 2006, so it looks that you "unfreeze" it :D Maybe this little change can be fixed? (MALL -> BALE)

That is true, but it is a can of worms, if Mallorca is changed, then why not all other small scenario tweaks?

Also, because I know this is how it works for me...

"I'll just make this little tweak." Then you get into that file and realize it's written in a dumb way. Then you recode that minor function to optimize it, because you're anal about code and once you do it you have to keep doing it... then once you're done optimizing that function you realize that something broke when you did it... which leads to...

Anyway.

I have to admit that's true. A lot of CoAs which are Christian look silly as Muslim, and vice versa. Ever seen "Duke of Medina?" It's so obviously Islamic it's funny.

I think this is very minor compared to some other issues.

No, there's not enough time for "scenario setup tweaks" beyond what they're already working on. It can be fixed for the first beta after 1.05, though.

Makes sense. Scenario is due rather soon.

Just wondering -- Did Naples' namechange make the cut? I know you guys were talking about officially changing it in the kingdoms thread in the scenarios subforum, and changing Sicily to Trinacria or something. :cool:

All scenario work beyond pure balance tweaks that I deem essential will be reviewed and discussed in 1.06. They will not change in 1.05, but I will be a lot more open to some stuff in 1.06 beta that I've been adamantly against touching in 1.05. Example: adjustiments to province.csv, tech setups, title names/holdings, etc.

None of that will happen between now and Feb 23rd.
