I know this has been discussed before but I coudn't find a thread for it or anything in the stickies:Emancipation of the slaves.
I'm playing my first US game. I've recently won the ACW, it ended seven game years ago. The slaves in the south are continously revolting and as I've won the ACW I was kind of patiently waiting for a freedom of the slaves event or such like to happen. But so far..nada!
So what do I do next? btw I may have just made a big mistake, I granted suffrage hoping that the masses would help make the US greater still, unfortunately I never realised that it gave a better chance of the right-wing parties winning; both of which have slavery as their minority policy. Was this a bad move?
As an aside; I had an event fire that saw Sitting Bull raise the natives in revolt. I dropped a cavalry division in the nextdoor state and decided to create a new General to lead the cavalry against the injuns. Guess who was created by the AI! yep, Gen Custer himself
. Was this really random?
All help on the slavery issue would be very much appreciated. Ta!
