The colonial ban on Africa should not be complete, as the Dutch colonized south Africa, and the British later seized it.

You can have a colonial ban for the Dutch simply end earlier so they do not colonize before their historical time, just make sure they focus on South Africa.

Ok, time for todays picture of the progress:

aeo7c7.jpg

(BTW Cherkassy belongs to Lithuania not Zaporogia as shown, I changed this to enlargen southern Lithuania)

Now every country in europe has been created and mapped. Slovakia has been added to hungary as proposed. Trading posts for denmark and sweden have been added. Please tell me if any of the borders are incorrect or if there are any countries that should be added to europe.

I have changed all political systems to what they were. They are all monarchies except poland which is a constitutional monarchy with landed voting, switzerland which is a democracy with all voting and genoa, venetia and milan which are democracies with wealth voting.

The parties which have been posted have been added. Keep them coming.

I have decided to go with the following tech categories for army and navy:

Army:
Infantry
Cavalry
Army Leadership
Artillery
Fortifications

Navy:
Warships
Merchant Ships
Navy Leadership
Armament
Navigation

What should be the categories for Culture, Commerce and Industry? One category should be named Infrastructure but I am unsure whether it belongs in industry or commerce.

Good idea = Done...

I think we should keep the commerce techs as they are:
Commerce:
Finance
Monetary System
Economic Thought
Market Functionality
Organization

I think that the categories should be art, literature, music, architecture, and so on, instead of renaissance, baroque, rococco, etc. There was a progression from renaissance to baroque to rococco, and it would seem more aouthentic to research it like that than to research rococco art before renaissance art.

You may want to change Switzerland's voting to landed, as universal manhood suffrage wasn't adopted until 1879 there. Florence should alternate between democracy and monarchy under the Medicis. If you can change the term democracy in-game to republic, then it would be more correct, though I don't know if that can be modded.

Under culture I have the following 5 areas:
Philosophy
Religion
Social Thought
Political Thought
These four areas have the general categories (15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th century) as of now

Aestetics is an area for itself like in the regular game with the categories
Gothic & Romanesque
Renaissance
Baroque
Rococo
Romanticism

Each of these levels will have the inventions Art, Litterature etc.

I have changed switzerland to landed and renamed democracy to republic.

Gotic and romanesque, Rennaisance, Baroque, Rococo and Romanticism are all technologies. The things with small stars in front of them are inventions.

The Iroquois Confederation should definitely be put in North America. Indigenous tribes should make up the pops in the unoccupied territories. You may want to look up a map of the native American tribes to use for the pops. Depending on the amount of free pop tags, we may have to generalize some native groups. I do know that the Creek and Cherokee inhabited much of the American south, and there were Calusa and Timucua in Florida. I also know that Taínos inhabited the Greater Antilles.

Can the state's religion change? I'm thinking about the reformation. I think pops can change religion. Am I correct?

Yes and yes.

To change a nation's religion: type = set_religion which = [religion]

To change Pops religion of an entire nation: type = convert_pop_type which = [pop type] value = [religion] when = [amount in percentage]

To change Pops religion in a specific province: type = convert_pop_type which = [pop type] value = [religion] where = [province ID]

Hope that helps.
