Elevated Metro stations? (Am I missing how to build them or do they not exist yet?)

I began building a nice elevated metro grid on the Amsterdam map (2nd campaign) level, but quickly realised that I could not manage to build metro stations that are elevated (like in parts of Copenhagen, or most US cities)

Am I missing something, or did the devs not make them at all (simply using them as "bridges" to be elevated back onto ground or subway?)

You can not build them in the early years of the game, so if you started in the 1920:s you cant build them. Dont know when they become available but I could make them on the second scenario map in amsterdam.

Thanks for clearing up the date requirement. I could swear it wasn't available in Berlin when I played last night. :/

Started playing amsterdam, and lo and behold - elevated stations. So much easier (and cheaper) than using subways. :3

You can build them in 1946 and the following years.
I know, historically absurd, but it's a game, not a historical review...

Yeah, but it detracts from the game. Anyway to fix this? Modding or something released by Paradox? I cannot fathom Berlin, Paris or NYC in 1920 without elevated metro lines. Waiting till 1946, well that's basically when the "Els" on Manhattan were being torn down...
