The game goes up to 1935/36

I've been on this board for almost ten years, and I've never made it to the end of the clock in any Paradox scenario. Not to mention that the massive effort to electrify the United States was undertaken...under Roosevelt in the 1930's :rofl: What next, include nuclear bombs, because they were almost there? ;)

Electricity generation was a major part of the second Industrial Revolution circa 1880-1900. It modernised factories, improved living conditions in homes, reduced crime (by lighting the streets at night) and was sometimes exported regionally (I believe the Belgians exported electricity to West Germany, or visa versa.)

Another missing 'second wave' staple would be chemicals.

The game 'Imperialism' had a simplistic but fun mechanism late in the game where you could build and upgrade a power station that processed fuel into 'labour' which, if you hammered fuel production and upgraded aggressively could all but free you from the constraints of the labour pool.

I'm not saying that would work in Vic, but a province flag for electrical reach similar to roads in EU3, with or without power plants, could really add some edge to late industry.

I play every campaign until the clock runs out, with Vic:Rev I usually went and edited the AIs around 1910/1915 to stage major world wars (editing them to like and dislike each other based on my own notion of what the power blocs ought to be) They would be just too peaceful with VIP.

To be honest, the fact that you quit every Vic or EU game before it's over says more about you than about the games :D
