I'm trying to figure out if this is WAD or a bug.
As the Emperor of Scandinavia slowly working across England, I created a Merchant Republic in Wessex and then transferred it to the King of England (my vassal). Upon creating the republic, my eldest daughter (succession by agnatic-cognatic primogeniture) was designated heir to the Republic of London. At first I thought this was because I'd given the republic to a member of my house, so I reverted the save and tried again without any of my blood involved, and the same thing happened.
Later, however, all of my sons died and I found that her sons were now first in line for the throne, before any of my daughters or their sons. At some point she also got un-disinherited, because she then became my heir again.
Does anyone know what's going on? Was she just an heir until after the first election or something? Is this a bug or some intricate WAD? Thanks.
