Greetings, fine sirs of this sub forum. As a newcomer to this mod, I was wandering if you could point out any characters that are prominent in ES lore that would be interesting to try or interact with. Examples might be Serana (if in this mod), Tribunal members, surviving Ayleids of note, and anyone with a good chance of founding a new Dragonborn empire. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, there's Harkon and Serana, but that's... not exactly the easiest start. Tribunal is not included ingame because they would be ridiculously OP. There's a few Aylieds scattered around Valenwood, but I can't remember if any of them are famous. While the individual Dirennis in the game aren't prominent (but then the Ayleids in the game aren't, either), the dynasty is quite prominent in ES lore (they date back far enough that some sources refer to them as Aldmer at the time of their settlement in what would become High Rock, formed a Hegemony that at its height controlled a fourth of Tamriel, and endured the fall of the Hegemony well enough that as late as the waning years of the Third Era Balfiera and the Adamantine Tower were still ruled by a Direnni).

- Orgnum, the god-king of the Maormer (Sea Elves) which inhabit Pyondonea to the south of Tamriel.
- Divayth Fyr, the oldest and most powerful magician.

For the most part, the current bookmarks take place a very long time before the events of Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. Most of the dynasties you'll encounter will be the ancient precursors of characters and leaders from the ES games such as the Tharns, Hassildors, Black-Briars, and the noble houses of Morrowind. The best thing would be to simply play it out as one of them, and hopefully we'll get some bookmarks that place us in the 3rd and 4th era. I'd love to re-unite the Empire as the Dragonborn. Despite changing the course of a civil war, putting dragons back in the ground, stopping an undead dragon priest from brainwashing everybody, and saving the world from vampires the Dragonborn doesn't seem to get the recognition he deserves in Skyrim.

Except that you cant play as theocracies, so Divyath Fyr is out.

Also not famous himself, but there's Erasmo Camoran. Big name, that Camoran. Plus, as PC he usually lives very long so his family don't die with 2 generations like every other mer dynasty.

Divayth Fyr is not a theocrat.

You can always grant him a county, resign and then play as him.

That "not allowed to play as theocracies" was quite clear.

Grant him a county, revoke his temple, turn him thus into a feudal ruler, save the game, and then load the save as him .

Being a theocracy is not dependent on characters, but on their holdings, if a character has no more temple holdings he will turn into a feudal character. Or a merchant republic if you leave him only cities ;P.

I don't remember if it was in the most recent version that I was able to do this, but I've played a game as Vanus Galerion (of the Mages Guild) despite him not having any actual holdings, as his Duchy-level title would occasionally be selected when using the 'random character' button. Without any actual land, it was a fairly uneventful game to say the least, but I got to meet all kinds of interesting people from all across Nirn, what with aspiring mages showing up at my doorstep when they come of age. A more ambitious player than myself could probably have schemed their way into accumulating a proper realm, but I don't know quite how well that would interact with various game mechanics given the special nature of the Mages Guild.

I married Serana once. Unfortunately, Harkon lost a rebellion, so my court then filled with vampire refugees.

There is M'aiq the Liar. He is the Shapsu of Darkhor which means you can play him straight away. The country's just below Nibenay and above Rimmen. Really don't understand how M'iaq became a lord but yknow, that's M'iaq.

What do you mean by "even"? Only Khajiit can be rich and powerful. Rest are just temporary.
