In my current campaign as sparta, i was facing a succesion crises that resulted in a long drawn out civil war. After the war i had the option of adopting egyptian succesion, thinking that this would prevent many future civil wars i foolishly passed it. ((I have played a game as Egypt before and never had problems))

Now i am constatantly under threat of a usurper civil war. It seems that the official preferred heir changes every month or so. And that means that my loyal ministers who i had appointed to support the proper canddate are now rebellious.

Is there somthing that i should be doing or something that can do to stop the preferred heir from changing all the time?

Also, My first civil war happened when a young 4 year old king came to the throne, who was the son of the king who had united greece under Spartas banner. All the ministers were loyal, but disagreed who should succeed the boy king! But really... I mean he had no chance to create heirs yet, and they are wanting to fight over an issue that would be 50 to 70 years distant.

So when the civil war started only my pryantis stayed loyal.

After the civil war was over i watched and laughed as all those gisloyal curs rotted and died in prison.
