Hello there! I like the mission system because it somewhat give historical flavour to nations. I'm about to start a run with Egypt in ironman mod and would like to know wich is the best/historical route to fullfill all the Egyptian Missions. Thanks in advance!

Guide to Egypt:
  1. Raise the merc army in Alexandria, as well as your own levies, and get them on the Antigonid border
  2. Wait until Macedon and Antigonids start fighting
  3. Attack the Antigonids with Legacy of Alexander wargoal
  4. Use the mercs and main region levies to drive back their armies, and the other levies to do the carpet sieging behind you
  5. Make sure you carve a line up to the north so the Seleukids can't carve off more than a few border territories (they always join in on the Diadochi Wars)
  6. If you're still alive by the time you clear out the Antigonids, eat Thrace and Macedon, too
You now control Egypt, the Levant, the Antigonid portion of Asia Minor, the lower portion of Thrace, and Macedon. You are the largest empire on the map, and you're about a decade into the game. You will need to spend a little while consolidating that mess (I recommend spending a lot of innovations on AE reduction), but you can pursue missions at your leisure.

For the missions, completing both Eastern Border and Greater Empire gives you access to the Hellenistic Empire mission tree.
Personally, I prefer to start with Macedonian Pharaoh to get the "Almost Divine Basileus" modifier from the last mission which gives +10% Population Happiness.

Small additional tips :
- Improve relations with all small Greek states in order to make them your subjects (keeping Appeasing diplo stance and taking King of Kings law helps with that)
- Arrange a royal marriage between your heir and Kadmaia Aiakid (Epirus) to get the Blood of the Argeads
- Make your heir the Hierophant then take the invention Proscribed Canon so he gets over 10 Zeal for Divinity Status law

An alternative strategy for conquest would be to start by eating Macedon while they're busy fighting Antigonids' troops.

Egypt's missions are kind of awkward because some of them are things that you'd expect to do right away, and some are things that will take a long time.

For instance, while at first glance the mission to conquer Syria seems like it should be done right away (when you still have access to the Legacy of Alexander war goal), in fact you'll want to wait a bit (although you might as well go ahead and conquer as much of the land required now, before the Seleucids take it) since one of the missions requires the Anti-Piracy law, which you probably won't unlock the tech for for quite some time.
