As we all know Egyptians are in Arabic cultural group which is fine. Their country, Mamluks, is Muslim. Now what if Mamluks flip to Christianity (Coptic, Orthodox etc.)? They keep their Arabic Muslim names. Now my suggestion is that they could use Egyptian Christian names instead of Arabic Muslim. Here is one link with Egyptian Christian names :

I think coptic culture can be added to the game.

And the newly formed country of Nubia should have a mission to conquer and Christianize Egypt and then should get a decision that changes the entire culture in Egypt to Coptic
As for moldable Egypt, the country can be called Kemet
The only countries that should be allowed to form Kemet are Nubia and Kush
In the latest dlc origins, Nubia and Kush are formal nations, I wonder what conditions must be met to create Kush.

I once read somewhere that when Ottomans conquered Egypt (Mamluks) population was still speaking Coptic. Both Muslims and Christians. They probably wanted to keep their national identity thru language. Ottomans then prohibited Coptic and demanded that both Muslims and Christians need to learn and speak Arabic. Coptic was kept as the language of liturgy of Egyptian Church.

what about actual egyptian names (ancient egypt)?

would be cool to get to know some more apart from the well known folks that are/were lying in gizeh

christian/muslim/jewish names are largely all of the same meaning, it's just spelling, pronunciation and etymological development/deviation that make them appear different

what about actual egyptian names (ancient egypt)?

Coptic was Egyptian, it used to be Demotic and before that Late Egyptian, before that Middle Egyptian, before that Old Egyptian, Coptic in Coptic literally means the Egyptian language. Would be odd to magically restore ancient image based system of Egyptian from a couple thousand years in the past.

I think this should be relevant for all 'religion flipping countries' (i know all countries can flip religions, i mean specifically those that are in positions prone to do so).
Like the ottomans should be able to get more Christian names if they go orthodox or Russia should be able to get a tsar Mohammed if they convert to sunni.
