I don't know if it was already posted, but these portraits are in the files, but are not used in game. The attached fix is Ironman compatible.

They look good. I hope that a new patch adds them in. Also, how do you think of the way Coptics currently look? They have the Eastern Mediterranean/Byzantine portraits, but wouldn't the new Egyptian portraits be more accurate, maybe retaining their Romano-Hellenic clothing, or even using East African clothing, or would Egyptian clothing be sufficient? Better yet, there is new Coptic clothing. Do you think Berbers and Andalusians should also use Egyptian portraits? As for the way the new Egyptian portraits look, it seems that they have have four options for only black hair, less hair color range than Bedouin Arabians, for example, why not at least one for dark brown? Also, there is something off about the cheeks of many Egyptian women, at least on my computer screen. They have discolored skin, when compared to the other facial features, does anybody else have that going on?

Does anybody know where's the Egyptian portraits files? There should be a portraits_egyptian.gfx file somewhere. I thought they would've been added to the last DLC (Holy Fury, dlc074), or the main game "interface" folder, but I can't seem to find them.

EDIT: OK, nevermind, I found it right in the main "interface" folder. I don't know how to see, apparently.

The problem is the cheeks, they're paler than the rest of the face.

- i was talking about creating a mod for copts to use. You cant do that without reassigning their .gfx file in culture.txt.
You'd also need to create coptic in 00_graphicalculturetype.txt

EDIT: Yayyy 500 posts. I moved up a rank just now.

By the way, I just modded the Egyptian children in:

I loaded my current game and there they were

While i have no knowledge of how mods work, there are many in the steam workshop who change clothing and ethnicity without deactivating achievments. So i'm pretty sure that it's possible to make copts use egyptian gfxs with clothing that best suits them without breaking ironman.

- as a creator of such a mod myself, im fairly certain in mine words.;)

The problem is that currently copts using greek .gfx file. You would need to assign new .gfx file to them in the culture .txt unless you also want to change looks of all characters that currently use greek portraits. And editing culture .txt will break ironman.

Hmm... they actually look a little rough to me with those white artifacts. Might it be that they're still a work in progress?

What do you mean by white artefacts? The white squares or the white lines next to their noses, because the first one was caused by me. But yes the coptic portaits are definitely a work in progress. (I am using here a mixture of Ethiopian clothes and copticegyptian female headgear.)

Yes, those. If the white bits had been in the source files my guess was that they weren't ready for release yet.
