I was thinking of a flip side of the mesoamerican flag that might look a little like this:

jewel4.jpg

or perhaps something oval-like? I did a search for indian jewelry that turned up some interesting shapes.

Kudos to Languish for hosting me! I finally ditched my evil geocities account and signed up for his excellent web-hosting, from now on there wont be any problems with the downloads. :)

Glad to help - only wish you had accepted my offer sooner :)

I haven't included any of the smallshields yet, (haven't made all of them :eek:o), I want to finish all the shields first. I hope you can stand it. :)
Some flags and smallshields needs to be changed since I've made some new ones.

I was just about to note the smallshield thing when i noticed this. Cant wait for the next release!

Perhaps a shield with a shape (just the frame) something like this for the indian states?

Hmm, might look weird but I'm open for suggestions. :)

I like this one... however, I don't think you should become too artistic with the shields. It would be nice if you can, after all, still see that it's supposed to be a shield...

Nice, I'll see what I can make out of that. :)

Yeah, I'll scale down on the artistic side a bit. :D

Thanks Telamonian. :)
That's the arms of the Comneni family, rulers of Trebizond.

Birger, I had an idea, about how to progress the EGUSFM to the "next level".

Firstly, regarding taking it one step further, I think the EGUSFM should consider - with stock 1.08 (no mods) consider including a series of flagname events bundled with the EGUSFM that work with stock paradox events, the respective choices taken by players during the game, and the historical coats of arms/flags that were actually used by the countries in question. England for example would be an excellent example of these (several) CoA changes throughout the game history. I, or any number of players here, would help in writing the events based up the CoA's created. You could also provide a similar service for the various mods out there but I guess this, and the mod version, may never happen or may not occur for some time.

If you don’t plan on doing this I wouldn’t mind working with you to do the more common nations in a separate "bolt-on".

Just some thoughts.

That sounds like a great idea, feel free to do whatever you want since I'm quite busy with the shields...

Prussia could need a event like that as well. :)

Im glad you think so... what nations, off the top of your head, do you think could benefit from these events firing? I am guessing several majors, and you indicated prussia, would need investigation at least to begin with.

I am not much of a flag/CoA researcher so i would need help from others in identifying the most appropriate choices based on actual historical changes, and anything ahistorical or choice based, that may change that. It shouldnt be too many. It might be worth starting a new thread rather than deviating from the nature of this one.

Would you consider or mind providing a range of English CoA's, to begin with, that cover the period 1419-1819? I believe that you already did this prior to the EGUSFM. I will create a new thread for this...

My 2 cents:

Prussia, Austria, England, France, Savoy, Spain, Tuscany (it can use the one for Florence untill the time Tuscany was actually formed), Ottoman Empire

Good call Hive, but I think you can leave out Savoy, their arms were pretty much the same throughout the game. :)

Yeah, you are right. They didn't change to the one I was thinking about untill 1814. :)
