On King Hans, the vassalages can happen even when the two countries are at war. They should trigger on them being at peace.
Honestly I am not sure .... it's been awhile. But I can't see why they shouldn't have been. But the event won't fire if Norway is not vassals?
Nope, and it shouldn't, either.
(Oh, remember, in Suteh's version you can even (verrry unlikely) inherit sweden)
Anyway. Just played again. This time both Sweden and Norway were vassals from the beginning to 1530 ... and nothing has happened yet ...
Norway and Sweden were in war with Portugal for about 20 years (until around 1515) before I took over Norway and ended it (and then returned to playing Denmark). That prevented the first event from firing (because Norway were at war), but why isn't Sweden trying to tear themselves loose???

The Sweden problem I know. It has been corrected for version 1.4.1.
If you can't wait for that search out the danish events that include the following in their trigger:
NOT = {
relation = {
country = SWE
value = 190
}
}
And the Swedish events that include:
NOT = {
relation = {
country = DAN
value = 190
}
}
Remove both type of triggers. They don't seem to be working as intendet.

Some of your Scandinavian events lack a date. Doesn't this prevent them from happening?
Also, can you think of any way to prevent Sweden from always cancelling the vassalage before 1440 which usually disrupts the whole sequence?

I'm aware of the date issue. IIRC most of these have been corrected in the new files I sent to mnorrefeldt.
Sweden breaks vassalage before 1440? Why? If they do it simply jumps to the next sequence in my events. Which means they will properly end up being vassals again.

Sute]{h, I'll gladly include your changes for the Scandinavian events for 1.4.2, could you post the changes here or send me the file eventually, if there are many. But no need to hurry, next update will be by the end of the summer.
On Swedish leaders, I'm currently reading a brick on the Swedish king Karl X Gustaf, the one who took Skåne, written by a reknowned Swedish historian Englund. On five different occasions P. de la Gardie is called incompetent, doing several blunders. Anyone against lowering his stats to 2/3/2/0? Karl X Gustaf, Torstensson, Wrangel and Königsmark are also mentioned, the three first one's won numerous great battles.
