Leader ranks are almost always a judgement call. I figured that Wrede should have quite a high rank since he was the supreme leader of the Bavarian army since 1813, however 1 is probably too much since he should definitely be inferior to Blücher and Schwarzenberg who commanded coalition armies that he fought in.

Sure, but isn't Nappy 0? Do you think Wrede and Deroy should be 2 or 3? Btw, after some search I finally found facts about a third Bavarian general of the Napoleonic era, Clemens von Raglovich, who led the Bavarian troops supporting Napoleon early 1813 (until the switch of alliance).

Oh yeah, you're right.

Not sure the third leader is needed. I'd heard of the other two! Did Bavarian troops play big role in 1813. I thought they spent the whole campaign observing the Austrians on the Danube.

Revised Wirtemberg monarchs

Didn't change much, just:
- changed Ulrich's deathdate to 1550
- improved Christoph's ADM value to 8
- added the administrators Ludwig Friedrich, Julius Friedrich, Friedrich Karl and Karl Friedrich
- added King Friedrich I as dormant monarch (not important, but nice for flavour as soon as the event will have been written)

Since I'd like to compile what I've done so far and submit it for 1.4, I badly need some feedback.
Any comments on the events? Bugs, unbalanced choices or typos found? Does anybody care about them?
What do you think about the proposed setup and event scheme for Saxony and Meißen? Testing was satisfactory; Meißen more often than not succeeds in annexing Saxony in the 16th century and turning into Saxony, as it is supposed to.
Is everybody ok with giving Ansbach to the Palatinate and Strassburg to Tyrol? Can the STR tag be recycled?
What do you think about adding the CoT in Saxony/Meißen in 1497?

I wonder which country Baden should represent after the partition in 1535, the protestant Margraves of Baden-Durlach or the catholic Baden-Badens? Paradox has Baden as a catholic country with the monarchs of Baden-Baden, however actually Baden-Durlach was the more powerful branch (it occupied Baden-Baden from 1594 to 1622) and it also eventually managed to unite Baden again when it inherited Baden-Baden in 1771. It would certainly better to keep it as the same branch all the time, hence I tend to favour Durlach. I will post corrected monarchs, leaders and events for Baden soon.

Having Baden-Durlach would definitely imply changing Baden's province religion to protestant. Beside this, the provinces of Würzburg and Mainz should be changed from protestant and reformed to catholic since I hate to see the AI converting these bishoprics that historically remained catholic, Kleve should be reformed (the majority of the nobility and populace was calvinist; the main reason for Johann Sigismund of Brandenburg to become calvinist himself was to appease his new subjects in Kleve), Ansbach, representing the Upper Palatinate, reformed, too, and Ostmarch protestant, which makes for this religious setup in Germany:

Catholic: Austria, Steiermark, Salzburg, Tirol, Bayern, Alsace, Lorraine, Würzburg, Mainz, Köln, Münster

Protestant: Sachsen, Anhalt, Brandenburg, Küstrin, Magdeburg, Vorpommern, Hinterpommern, Mecklenburg, Bremen, Holstein, Hannover, Oldenburg, Baden, Württemberg, Ostmarch

Reformed: Hessen, Pfalz, Kleve, Ansbach

Hate the saxon COT. We could add it to the COT configurator though.

Keep STR as a revolter/vassal.

As long as we're not (yet) re-splitting up Austria I think the set up is good as is.

I don't know about Baden. I'd prefer it Catholic just to have a more realistic religious balance (I get annoyed at people saying how all of Germany was protestant). On the other hand Baden-Durlach has the more interesting history (Protestant union, commander of Imperial army vs Louis XIV etc.)

I said 're-splitting' meaning that the events that split up Austria in the late 16th century aren't in just yet.

I've reconciled myself to the 1419 split. I reserve the right to change my mind once I've played with it a bit, but for now, let's put it in.

I don't think giving Alsace to the Hapsburgs is really dependent on the split. Strassburg doesn't deserve to be in no matter what, considering how pathetic and small the bishopric was, that the Hapsburgs were the most important landholders in Alsace and that some representation of their Vorlande is needed.

The point about religious balance is certainly important, however even Baden-Baden was protestant between 1555 and 1571. In addition, I think the balance will be better with a protestant Baden: there will be 12 catholic, 15 protestant and 4 reformed provinces; IRL about one third remained catholic, here it is even a bit more. Also the Thirty Years War will then be balanced better, with four Union (the Palatinate, Hessen, Württemberg and Baden), and seven League members (Bavaria, Austria, Tyrol, Styria, Würzburg, Mainz and Cologne).

EDIT: Oh, you were referring to the 1564 split. If it isn't split then, why should Strassburg be released?

I don't think STR should be released. But I do think it should be available as a revolter/vassal.

Ok, since the tag is not that badly needed, we might just keep STR in, although I don't know if it makes sense with the capital of Alsace changed to Ensisheim, the capital of Hapsburg administration.
So far I've compiled this and will test it and try to get it ready for submission:

- Sachsen to Meißen
- Ansbach to the Palatinate
- Alsace to Tyrol
- capital of Anhalt renamed to Wittenberg
- capital of Ansbach renamed to Sulzbach
- capital of Alsace renamed to Ensisheim
- capital of Holstein renamed to Kiel
- capital of Mecklenburg renamed to Schwerin
- capital of Kleve renamed to Kleve
- religion of Ansbach changed to reformed
- religion of Baden changed to protestant
- religion of Kleve changed to reformed
- religion of Würzburg changed to catholic
- religion of Mainz changed to catholic
- Brandenburg's shield on Magdeburg removed
- Hannover's shield on Oldenburg removed
- the Palatinate's shield on Mainz removed
- Denmark's shield on Holstein removed
- Lorraine's shield on Strassburg removed
- France's and Burgundy's shield on Lorraine removed
- Bavaria, the Palatinate and Holland are in an alliance and intermarried
- Meißen and Hessen are in an alliance
- Brandenburg, Saxony, Magdeburg and Pommern are in an alliance
- Kleve and Brabant are allied with Burgundy (but not in the HYW)
- Holstein and Oldenburg have +50 relations with Denmark, Norway and Sweden
- events, leaders and monarchs for Kleve, Bavaria, Münster, Württemberg, Saxony and Meißen
- bishopric events, simulating the influence of dynasties
- AIs for Brandenburg, Saxony, Württemberg, Hessen, Bavaria and the bishoprics

This one ought to be contingent on the Scandanavian events (that add that shield) going in. Can I assume that they are going in?

Yes, of course it's dependent on that. Denmark should get the shield eventually.
Also the removed French shield on Lorraine should be returned either by the Chambers of Reunion or the inheritance event.

Err, yes, isn't that implied by giving them the province? ;)

Regarding another thing, I think that French shields should finally be reduced in 1.4. They should loose their shields
on Lorraine, Provence, Artois, Bretagne, Morbihan and Armor at start (except for Lorraine they are all already added
in later events).

French national provinces in 1419:
Code:
[COLOR=blue]
nationalprovinces = {
        376 382 383 384 385 386 407 408 409 410 411 412 413 417 418 419 420 421 422 423 424 425 426
    }
[/COLOR]

and in 1520 (added Provence, Bretagne, Armor, Morbihan, Lombardia, Napoli and Apulia):
Code:
[COLOR=blue]
nationalprovinces = {
376 382 383 384 385 386 407 408 409 410 411 412 413 417 418 419 420 421 422 423 424 425 426 406 414 415 416 389 393 394 }
[/COLOR]

Changed Chambers of Reunion (added shields on Franche Comté and Lorraine, let action a add badboy, using the new command, removed the unjustified 500 ducats from b):
Code:
[COLOR=blue]
