Well, I'm certainly not trying to give the player an unfair advantage. Simply being a human player gives a big enough advantage over the AI.
When it came to this event, though, I didn't think I was giving any seriously unfair advantages. Much of what you get from the event, you would get anyway. Some of it, yeah, is nice. But there are other event for other nations that are pretty much win-win situations, aren't there? And most of the Byzantium events that have been scripted have all had bad with any good, right? So what's wrong with giving Byzantium one event that's a no-brainer?
The "precursor" event I mentioned, maybe it isn't necessary...but I don't think it was really giving the player anything they couldn't or wouldn't have on their own anyway.
Anyway, I'm, of course, willing to go back and tweak things...but, for the most part, I think it's a good event. Maybe making the last choice more of a "status quo" choice, so you don't get anything, but you don't lose anything either?
