If one desired to have access to the hypothetical Byzantium events, but wanted to keep most of the normal EUII game/environment intact, is it possible to simply copy/paste the new content of the events folder from the EEP directory to the old/normal Byzantine events directory, and still have them function? Or would one need to do the same with certain leader files/monarch files, etc?

Or is the setup of EEP as a whole essential to their functioning properly? Or also would this be frowned upon by those who did the work and effort to write those events?

Just wondering, as a I love the hypothetical Byzantine events, but not sure I'm ready for all the changes that the EEP grand campaign introduce. :)

Yes, you can do just that. When you do it make sure any referenced events are copied over as well. As I recall, their are not too many of these in the BYZ event files. And no, no one really minds if you use all or part of the EEP. Our only hope is that they enhance your enjoyment of the game. If they have, that is our reward.
