Here is my proposal for a Irish event:
Event Name: The Dublin Society
Country: Eire
Description: In 1731, the Dublin Society was founded. It concentrated in particular on the desire to promote agricultural and industrial growth. The Society offered grants for land reclamation, textiles, fisheries, and other pursuits, and helped spur growth around Dublin.
Trigger(s): 1731
Effect(s):
A: Improve Meath
+1 Tax Value in Meath
+1000 Population in Meath
+100 Infrastructure Tech
+50 Treasury
The Royal Dublin Society did exist (it become "Royal" in 1820), but my thinking was that an independent Irish government would strongly support the Society (much more than the English) & that it would have had a great impact on the city.
Any thoughts on this event plus RepublicofGenoa's Guinness event? Would they both work, or are they together too beneficial for Meath?
