So, I was playing Deus Vult today - with the October beta-patch so kindly provided by Johann, and the DVIP that talented members of this community contributed - and I was doin' pretty well! As Barcelona, I'd managed to capture a couple of southern-Islamic territories, and I'd been sitting on them a while, taking appropriate actions to encourage cultural conversion.

All of the sudden, a loud 'Beep!' shattered my concentration, and an error message appeared on the screen! "Unhandled Exception", it read, and listed a hex offset that, I've no doubt, resides in some irksomely-arcane part of the CK .exe. "See the log file", it said, and then my game shut down. I couldn't make heads nor tails of the logfile, so I just reloaded the game and kept playing.

I kept getting unhandled exceptions, though, which is a serious bummer. I've finally managed to pin them down to cultural/religious conversion events, since I started testing, trying to trigger likely province events myself, and those're the ones that caused the crashes. So, uh...what's going on, here?
I've posted the log file below, for your convenience. I'm using DV patched to its latest, installed over a fully-patched CK, and playing in windowed mode using the WINDOW argument. Is there any way to stop the baleful lines of red?

You can't 'manually' fire 'province to province'-events, like the cultural conversion event. This will crash your game.

So the simpliest solution is to not manually trigger them and you won't get those crashes.
